2017: Mid-Tones that Reflect the Seasons
Wintery grays and whites, spring floral colors, summery blues and greens, and autumnal spice tones are all forecasted in next year’s home decorating palette. So pick a season and enjoy, say home decorating experts, who note that next year’s color trends will reflect natural landscapes and the way each individual is inspired by them.
Natural looks like grasscloth, sisal and cork are major trends in wallpaper, says Gina Shaw, vice president of product development at York Wallcoverings.
Diane Capuano Franklin and Tammy Adamson-McMullen, the publishers of the Focus on Faux online magazine, have launched a new ancillary blog as a vehicle for providing additional information, tips, advice, insights and inspiration to the faux-finishing and decorative painting community.
Our subscription-only Focus on Faux online magazine features a new assortment of articles every month, but under the auspices of the free Focus on Faux blog, we'll be posting shorter, more frequent articles for your enjoyment as well as information that is geared toward helping industry artists succeed. You will not need a subscription, user name or password to access the blog. The blog will offer a mix of fresh content and short excerpts from the Focus on Faux online magazine that will give you a small taste of what subscribers are being offered every month.
We launched the Focus on Faux online magazine in November. 2015 Subscribers receive exclusive content, including artist profiles, artist portfolios, business articles, trend information, industry news, coverage of faux industry events and organizations, and new product announcements. In addition, subscribers receive a monthly e-newsletter altering them to new Focus on Faux content as well as bonus articles and information not available online. Going forward, if you like what you read on the blog, we invite you to sign up for one of our three subscription plans here.
